Iran’s ‘Amir Ali’ garners US fest award

Iranian short ‘Amir Ali’ collects award at the Accolade Global Film Competition in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Amir Ali’ has garnered the Award of Excellence at the Accolade Global Film Competition in the US.

Directed by Shiva Qanbarian, the 20-minute short is about a teenage boy whose parents are taking divorce. The boy is facing a dilemma and doesn’t know what decision he should make.

Many well-known shorts have participated in the 16th edition of the festival and ‘Amir Ali’ was selected as the best short of the competition.

The short has participated in more than 5 international festivals including Mill Valley in the US.

Established in 2003, the Accolade Global Film Competition is an avant-garde worldwide competition that strives to give talented directors, producers, actors, creative teams and new media creators the positive exposure they deserve.

It discovers and honors the achievements of filmmakers who produce high-quality shorts and new media. The Accolade promotes award winners through press releases to over 40,000 filmmakers, industry contacts and additional international media/distribution outlets.
